FI's cousin got engaged yesterday and we are totally thrilled for them. He was the only one home when the call came in so it was his job to relay the juicy details.
FI: Oh and mary got engaged today.
ME: She did!! OMG how? When? Where?
FI: oh I don't know, on an airplane or something
[end of conversation]
needless to say I had to make some calls myself to find out her fiance proposed on top of a snowy mountain in colorado overlooking the rockies. They were snowboarding for Easter at a beautiful resort and when they finally got to the top of the moutain and she was saying how beautiful it was he popped the question right there in the snow.
No airplane - what is wrong with guys!??
